Inpatient Instructions
 
Admitting Procedure
  1. You should be called by the hospital no later than two days prior to your admission date.
  2. In addition, you will be contacted by the hospital regarding preadmission testing.
  3. The admitting/outpatient entrance is located on Mason Street. Valet parking is available at that entrance, or you may park in the Mason Street Ramp.
  4. Admitting personnel will obtain and verify insurance information. If appropriate, they will ask you to sign papers related to consent to treatment and insurance billing. Please bring your insurance card.
  5. If you have a Living Will or Durable Power of Attorney, please bring that with you as well.
  6. Leave all valuables at home or with a family member.
  7. Admitting staff can also provide you with hotel information and discount coupons.
  8. If you have special needs relating to a disability, hearing disorder, or if you need an interpreter, please let the Admissions Department know prior to your arrival.
  9. Admitting staff will escort you to your room and familiarize you with hospital services.
