Admitting Procedure
- You should be called by the hospital no later than two days prior to your admission date.
- In addition, you will be contacted by the hospital regarding preadmission testing.
- The admitting/outpatient entrance is located on Mason Street. Valet parking is available at that entrance, or you may park in the Mason Street Ramp.
- Admitting personnel will obtain and verify insurance information. If appropriate, they will ask you to sign papers related to consent to treatment and insurance billing. Please bring your insurance card.
- If you have a Living Will or Durable Power of Attorney, please bring that with you as well.
- Leave all valuables at home or with a family member.
- Admitting staff can also provide you with hotel information and discount coupons.
- If you have special needs relating to a disability, hearing disorder, or if you need an interpreter, please let the Admissions Department know prior to your arrival.
- Admitting staff will escort you to your room and familiarize you with hospital services.
