Acupuncture is used to treat energy imbalances that often result in pain and illness. During treatment, the acupuncturist inserts very fine, disposable needles at specific energy pathways, which can impact muscles, nerves and organs. Acupuncture helps decrease pain, inflammation and fatigue and strengthens the body’s natural ability to heal.

We can bill your insurance company for acupuncture if it is a covered service under your health insurance plan. It is your responsibility to call your benefits department and confirm that the service is reimbursable. It is important that you let the insurance company know that the provider of these services is St. John’s Hospital. Once you know that your plan reimburses for the service, we will need a referral from your physician which we can assist you in obtaining. Please call us at (217) 544-LIVE (5483) to schedule your appointment and/or to complete the registration process.
